Aoishiro PC Translation - September 2009
Preface
This is mainly a translation of the SCRIPT for the PC version of Aoishiro by Success.
The main menu, in-game menu, and system menu have been translated.

How to Install
1)
Download the latest patch and unpack it.
2) Save a copy of the original SCRIPT.AFS and EXE_CEL.AFS so it will be easy to revert back to the original Japanese text and menus.
3) If you have already played the game in Japanese, any save locations not at decision points will most likely crash.
Save a copy of the settings directory to preserve your old save files.
The default location is: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Aoishiro
4) Copy the exe files to the folder where Aoishiro is installed.
5) Copy the files SCRIPT.AFS and EXE_CEL.AFS to the SCRIPT folder located under the directory where Aoishiro is installed.
By default, the install directory is C:\Program Files\Aoishiro
6) Run Aoishiro_eng.exe to start the game or AoUtil_eng.exe to run the config utility.
Playing the Game
The controls are the same as the PC demo.
The basic commands are listed below.

Treasure Box
The Treasure Box is available from the Main Menu once you reach one ending.
At first, the available choices are:
- Album
- Flowchart
- Encyclopedia
- Endings
Once you finish Kaya's Route, an extra option will appear which allows you to view two extra stories added to the PC version.
The two stories are:
- Meeting with a Friend at a Distant Location - 友あり遠方にて出逢う
- About the《Sword》 - 《剣》の巻
Once you finish reach all the endings, the following choices are available:
- Mini-Game - Onikiri no Oni
- Create Your Own Aoishiro Scene
Known Issues
- More than 3 lines of text will cause scrolling so some sentences had to be paraphrased to fit.
Sometimes the last punctuation of sentences is missing.
- Most menu items are untranslated.
- One scene was hex-edited by hand so the full names of the characters does not appear.
- The encyclopedia is not translated.
- In the original game, the blue links to the encyclopedia are removed.
- The Save and Load screens show Japanese for the scene name.
- The instructions for creating your own Aoishiro scenes is not translated.
- Choices at decision points are paraphrased due to lack of space.
Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble installing the game or reading the Japanese text,
try changing your settings to use Japanese for non-Unicode programs.
In Control Panel->Regional Language and Options,
select the Advanced Tab, and change
"Select a language to match the language of the non-Unicode programs you want to use" to Japanese.
