Himeka said that because naked snuggling alone just isn’t the same without a sexy short baby dyke to snuggle naked WITH.

  2. maarit nurmenniemion November 4th 2008 4:41 am

Himeka said it because her life so far was emty and boring, a life without meaning and knowing what a true friendship is. Although Himeka doesn’t want to be JUST a friend to Hyou, she wants to be her eternal lover (and of course to make Hyou her sexslave at the same time. fufufu)

Unbeknown to her, the dangers and uncertainties lying ahead; this small, powerless, innocent girl was determined to carry out the task and fight in her father’s place. This shows to Himeka that despite the chaos and suffering in this world, there is still hope. Who could have thought someone who is as young as this girl, has the will to fight for the sake of humanity. One day, the light will overcome the darkness. This gives Himeka a new reason to believe and to protect. This is why Himeka meant that meeting Hyou had changed her life.

Maybe hinting at a hidden past? something young Hyou did for Himeka as a child that changed her life (encouraged her to live on)? But, I think the main reason Himeka said what she did was the author’s way of making us readers interested !! ^_^ Mysterious past is always a great plot device.

(I do hope it isn’t something thrown in there to keep reader’s interest. I hope for a great past relationship between Hyou, Hmeka and maybe something to do with Hyou’s father.)

(Uhm, it’s hard for me to say my own language into English. I’m not good at saying in English)
Himeka met Hyou when Hyou still a little girl. Hyou’s young at that time so she couldn’t remember that she met Himeka before. I think Himeka is the person have something relate to Hyou’s father. Himeka met Hyou again althought Hyou didn’t remember her. Their fates begin since the time they had met.
    Hyou accept painful “curse” from her father, a very painful “curse”. Hyou didn’t give up because of that “curse”, still living with her pain. Himeka studied will to live from Hyou’s (If I accept that curse like Hyou, I can’t live with that pain);
maybe… because of seeing Hyou remind herself when she’s young, too.
(Forgot what I had said, my simple thought about Himeka and Hyou ==”)

Hyou-chan said her father met her for the first time (why first time?) when he was about to die. He entrusted her with the secret of the seal, the youjin and passed down the curse to her. This is also the first time Hyou-chan met Himeka.

My theory is that Himeka is Hijikata’s spirit helper. When Hijikata died, she thought she would finally be free and she might be a person who didn’t think that human life is worth anything much. She simply did what she’s required to do because she was possessed by a good spirit (maybe her duty as Himegami is erasing the bad evil spirit from this world?) and this is her curse. Meeting little Hyou-chan opened up her eyes in how such a little girl like her could shoulder the burden of humanity and take up on a duty passed down by her father without complaining and she will do so dutifully with a strong faith. So meeting Hyou-chan changed Himeka’s life in terms of looking at how she live her life in a new light, having a partner to fight with and a future she can look forward to. Plus Himeka might have envisioned then that Hyou-chan will grow up to be a cute baby dyke with grouchy personalities whom she can tease at will and get the responses she loves. Heheh…

i think she had been having a boring life , maybe even given up on life itself but hyou chan gave her reason to continue .

  8. Barbara Perezon November 7th 2008 9:21 pm

Perhaps she had lost meaning of her path when she stumbled with this young girl; who even in such a situation as she was with a dead father and probably really little chances to get out of there by her own, was still so decisive as to follow her father’s wishes.

This, got to Himeka and showed her something she had not seen before in any other person, giving her that purpose as to make that hidden power flourish to greatness inside Hyou.

That’ll be past related of course, as Himeka still in the present points out that back then was the time that changed her destiny forever and linked her with Hyou.

  9. eMKaon November 8th 2008 3:55 am

    Why Himeka said that?
Cause Hyou is so yurilicous :D
Serious thinking I suppose that before meeting Hyou and her dying father Himeka lead boring life, maybe she was even thinking about suicide, who knows, but after meeting that little girl, hearing her resolve and what burden she have to bear alone, seeing her dead/or dying father she fell in love with her, which dramatically changed her life and fate,I think that Himeka became Himegami after meeting Hyou,to be able to protect her in future, and when she became possible of doing that she returned to her hearing about girl who fights with monsters,or she was observing her for all this time and finnaly made aproach when she knew Hyou won’t make out alive alone ;)

    My thoughts on this:

First the questions that led up to all this: How is it that Hyou managed to meet her father for the first time? Why was she on the battlefield to start with? We don’t know if he actually said he was her father or if someone TOLD her that he was her father. Kyou mentions that she met a seirei (though I think the madam’s assumption that it was really a koropokkur might be slightly off) when her father was dying. There is also the conversation between Kirika and the oshi about Kyou being able to change their fate and the fate of the world. Since it is apparent that Hyou’s father never mentioned to his men that he had a child (we can assume that from the surprise of that fled Shinsengumi warrior), it seems he kept her a secret.

My guess is that Hijikata was entrusted with Kyou by the seirei to raise her as oblivious to her true importance and thus hiding her from the youjin. My guess is that she herself contains the powers to the Seal of the Shinsengumi and the indicator on her back is a way for her to know how many youjin are around…sort of like a security alarm. Himeka was probably assigned to watch over Hyou initially by the oshi so she most likely viewed it as such and nothing more. However, upon meeting the child, seeing that she had strength but was still vulnerable, Himeka found that Hyou became less of a burden commanded upon her and more of a reason to keep Hyou safe. Her reasons seem to have nothing to do with prophecy or the will of a superior but more of a growing closeness. My guess was that her feelings for Hyou were sort of motherly at first (and maybe that’s why Hyou associates her with a mother she barely remembers….Himeka could have been that phantom figure from long ago…we really aren’t given an indication as to her age) but her feelings changed as Hyou entered late adolescence. Hyou has now become her balance, her other half….Himeka probably had that strict warrior mentality at first; all fighter with no real purpose except to serve a particular cause. Having someone worth living and dying for always changes one’s life in a huge way.

Himeka’s group seems to have women of varying ages so it stands to reason that anyone could either be born or “recruited” to be seirei in this story. Also, it seems to me that this Madam for whom Hyou works is far more intelligent and informed than the average woman. They seem to be a clearinghouse for information (i.e. like when one of the showgirls gives Hyou news that she picked up from one of their drinking customers about that meeting at the French Consulate). I’ve not read all of Volume 3 yet so these are speculations on my part. Please forgive my windiness *humble bow*

I have got a strange thinking pattern so yeah, try to bear with me XD its also quite cliche in a way you could guess.

looking back at how Himeka first meet Hyou, was when she was being bullied in the street, could this of been a situation already planed out by Himeka? as a ‘kunoichi’ (female ninja) - i guess you can say - it would not be too hard to create a situation of two guys bullying you is it? a bit of sex appeal, then saying no, usually does get a guy pissed off =P, but how did she know that Hyou would be coming back at that time? she has been stalked all her life! =0 this surely leads onto something, which must mean that Himeka has been stalking Hyou throughout most of her life, and the situation developing has reached a stage for her to introduce herself to Hyou.

but but why? this probably leads to the question asked, ‘why did Himeka say meeting Hyou changed her life?’

its love! <<<< for who ever who believes this as a SIMPLE answer i shall give, it should be more complicated but this ‘word’ would be fine. love grows and does not usually affect people in an instant, although that is in most cases. the love here, has developed over time. I would believe that seeing a child grow throughout life a bond would develop and strengthen

Could Himeka be Hyou’s mother? (idea touched upon by chapter 8) could be! but i do not think that to be right. I believe that the group “Himegami” is a group which supports the ‘blood-line’ of Toshizou(Hyou’s Father)? in dealing with youjin, refers to the curse. Toshizou should have known about this ‘group’ protecting?(i still argue this point but meh~) him, i argue if they are protecting the curse, or the seal, dont know either to place them as the ‘one’ or separate ‘ideas?’

from this when the ‘curse’ was transferred from Toshizou to Hyou, straight after Himeka approached Hyou in an attempt to ‘tell her about what ‘power’ she holds’ but seeing as she was crying blah blah blah Himeka embraced Hyou, and was shocked about the feeling she had in her heart, a kunoichi that is starting to feel love, what would this bring? has Himeka found ‘another’ person to protect with her life? clearly this bound would be tighter than the previous one with Toshizou. Could Himeka be the founder of the group she leads? i think not, but she would be close to if not the best warrior in that group. the group is just a group of kunoichi’s or is it actually some sort of organization? refers to the place where Hyou currently resides in, the ‘Madam’ could be part of the group but of only the intelligence group whereas Himeka would be part of the ‘action’ group. this would mean that the current organization they, ‘Madam’ and Himeka, are in are opposing the group which is creating the youjin, this could lead into a bigger and bigger picture, 2 organizations one trying to control the world, another trying not to upset the worlds balance.

The organization of which Himeka, and ‘madam’ both MAY work for, what are their jobs and pay =D clearly forget this line XD
what is the true intent of the organization if it does exist, could of they been the ones to actually ‘insert?(please use a better word)’ the curse into the Toshizou bloodline? just what is the Toshizou bloodline? some sort of ‘other-race’ which rivals the youjin - thinking about how all things have opposites - or could this opposing race be the organization, but is it not strange soo far its only been women who have shown up in the organization, how could a male like Toshizou ‘make’ his way into the organization - please my explanation is bad - it would be answered later! maybe~ if even this guess is close to true.

another thing of importance is the name ‘miburo’ unless im a total retard and did not catch on Hyou’s given name was Miburo or the family name was that. but which would also question why is her family name is different from that of her dads? was she a bastard? more than likely not. but why/how did she meet a person who she can call ‘dad’ for the first time and actually listen to all the things he is talking about and somehow accept the request put out by him, ‘carry on the curse’.

who the hell knows! i know i do not, but like on the theory i have been talking about its a conspiracy set out by the NHK! i mean ‘Himegami’ BUT here is where i do not think that Himeka and Hyou are related by blood, the time of her fathers death was their first meeting (by the looks of things may be wrong but im guessing is right, would love to look at the kanji but it should be ‘daeai’ or how ever its spelt)

anyhow all this text can be covered by a volume or a half of explaining, the meeting between Hyou and Himeka was probally brought around by external forces - which im labeling done by ‘Himegami’ - the organization, one way or another!~ either by Himeka, looking to see if her current ‘object of protection’ is still alive (yes i have a cruel naming system) - Hijitake Toshizou is still alive where she stumbles upon Hyou, crying over a body of blood. seeing such a scene moved her heart and shattered her ‘demonic’ nature and made her the way she is today, a playful person. (AS IF) she prob has not changed much personality wise, there would of not been a ‘demonic nature’ so to bad to all those people hoping there to be one.

as i said earlier it was more than likely ‘love’ which changed Himeka. the scene of a young girl and a corpse of the man she failed to protect, the young girl accepting her fate, ‘the curse’, meeting her father for the first time and believing it ‘all’ the youjin, and those yet to be revealed, all hit Himeka’s heart and moved her, who was more than likely in the background listening in as the father was talking to her ‘daughter’ watching(yes this is a bad word to put in but i am short of good words) the girl accept her fate as it would seem to be moved her beyond words. as Himeka approached the two, the scene was not what she thought it to be, which added to the ‘movement’ in her heart.

as for what this would bring into the future would be a possible weakness to Himeka, but yet later on turn into strength. as all good novels would have it, after a Hyou they face off the ‘last/final boss’ where Himeka is no longer the strongest and Hyou is facing the ‘boss’ off. this boss would be the guarding the seal of the shinmegumi, impairing the youjin to never again exist in the land, but would mean that the warriors of “himegami” would maybe no longer exist, a thorn that would eventually lead the the dismissal of the two’s relationship (sob sob) but seeing as these spirits ‘may of came from the land’ a rebirth of Himeka arrives and thats the end of the whole series! now as for what happens to this stage, lets see insert in
volume 3, more ‘easy going fights - little bosses to raise Hyou’s fighting level’
volume 4 appearance of the organization(with maybe annihilation?),
volume 5 appearance of the ‘evil’ organization (insert annihilation of the ‘himegami’ or at lease the place where Hyou currently resides),
volume 6 revenge on the evil organization (maybe insert gaining the power of the seal?/hidden power/curse)
volume 7 continue with the revenge/move onto destroying the seal of the shinmegumi -where the last boss may be -)
volume 8 defeating the last boss! conclusion!

this may be it! the storyboard of the Himegami series! how how.. orginal?…… meh even if this is what is going to happen its the job of the director of the manga artist, or head guy/girl to surprise us, or if use such a orginal concept make it soo good there would be no complaining about it. im hoping for it to the the later so i can actually really enjoy reading this manga.

anyhow i think i typed enough garbage. good work guys at Wings of Yuri! keep it up!

Why did Himeka say meeting Hyou changed her life?

Because she didnt have short haired tsundere in her harem. (She has a loli, long haired tsundere and big breasted lady but nope, not a short haired tsundere! :O)

And so, changed her life continuing her quest to gain more girls for her harem. Next, she’s looking for a megane .

    =D!

Why did Himeka say meeting Hyou changed her life? Well, based on what we already know (that Himeka comes from a tribe/clan of warriors who work in junction with animal spirits) I’d say that Himeka meeting Hyou was a moment of enlightenment. As a warrior, Himeka probably spent much of her life fighting and training for battle and as a being with human emotions (for I don’t know whether to classify Himeka as a human or spirit), and as the kind-hearted person she is, a life of battle would be a heavy burden on her soul, regardless of the fact that she knows that what she is doing protects and saves others. Perhaps Himeka was present at the battle that killed Hyou’s father and on her way away from the battlefield, she wanted to be alone because of the heaviness of her heart and the weariness she felt at always fighting. That is why she was traveling on foot alone and along that path, she came across young Hyou. I believe that their first meeting was also the first time that Himeka actually communicated with a human one-on-one and the innocence of Hyou’s words, Hyou’s helplessness and her single-minded kindness, touched Himeka’s heart and gave her the strength to go on, even if it meant fighting more.

  14. Chouxon November 11th 2008 8:24 pm

It changed her life because she found a place where she can be carefree and smile.

  15. JNKhallon November 16th 2008 3:10 am

probably something about something about how her life has been changed because of such and such or some revelation or just a general sort of appreciative comment about hyous presence… I’m just not very thought intensive tonight.

  16. Trushil Bon November 17th 2008 5:54 am

Himeka back then may have been confused about life, about what to do and the meaning of life itself. Going on a journey, Himeka intended to find the answers for herself. Her meeting with young Hyou helped her understand more about herself and the world. As Himeka understood more about herself, she was able to change and as a warrior find something more to life than fighting and more importantly find something to live for. Hyou is portrayed as an innocent yet strong girl. So being with Hyou and seeing how Hyou wanted to carry out her fathers dying wish, this could have helped open up Himeka’s eyes to see the beauty of the world, to notice the little things in life that make it great, thus changing her life.

  17. Sheion November 18th 2008 1:27 pm

Because it wasn’t until she met Hyou that she realized her true love for skimpy outfits and her own feelings for younger girls.

  18. Douglason November 24th 2008 10:53 pm

Why did Himeka say meeting Hyou changed her life?

The reason that Himeka meeting Hyou changed her life was because that was when she first fell in love with Hyou. I base this on the Japanese Legend of ther Red String of Fate that says that 2 lover a bound together for all eternity by a red strand that is tied to the right pinky finger and that no matter waht happens when they find each other they will know who their true live is and nothing will tear the apart.

The Love Between Himeka and Hyou is evident But Hyou does not want to admit to herself that she has fallen for Himeka

Because of the meeting in the cave was the beginnig of the lovew between the two but Hyou was too young to realize that that will be her life mate but Himeka did.
