Well, this post is going to be rather long, and some of it is mostly as a reminder to myself.
Download links are located at the page above so feel free to just skip my babbling. =)
First, let me give thanks to Nik for his translation tools and help in editing images.
And also to TheShinySword for proofreading.
Without them, this work would never have been completed.
As you can tell from the current banner, Aoishiro is the one of the main reasons I started translating yuri material, so I think it will remain special to me.
Though I still had some open questions after the game.

After you finish the Grand Route, you’ll get access to the Onikiri no Oni minigame.
The endings are quite funny so here’s the translation.
If you need help on the game, see the FAQ.

It’s been quite a long journey so let me just highlight some milestones:
- February 02, 2008 - Finished Ch.1 of the Web Novel
- May 4, 2008 - Finished Aoishiro Vampire Scene Demo Game
- May 12, 2008 - Finished final chapter of Web Novel
- July 17, 2008 - Finished Aoishiro Original Demo for PC.
- January 9, 2009 - Started translation of Aoishiro PC.
- September 18, 2009 - Finished translation of Aoishiro PC.
I know some wondered if this would ever be completed.
In truth, I myself underestimated the amount of work required. :p
Here’s are some approximate stats for the script.
The lines include duplicate lines for each ending.
- Total Number of lines: 32751
- Number of endings: 56
- Lines in Yasumi’s Route: 11231
- Lines in Nami’s Route: 5381
- Lines in Migiwa’s Route: 5432
- Lines in Kaya’s Route: 4268
- Lines in Kohaku’s Route: 3477
- Lines in Grand Route: 2454
- Lines in Gaiden: 502
- Average lines translated per day: 133
I was unable to capture all the subtle nuisances about the game, so the translation is far from complete.
There’s still many things I myself don’t fully comprehend.
But I believe, it should at least give an accurate feel for the game.
Example puns:

Enjoy the game!

Thanks!
Oh! The backlog. Thanks for telling me.
Yes. There’s quite a large number of puns in both games.
As I recall, the scenario writer, 麓川智之, wrote the lyrics for the songs as well.
Makes you wonder how one person can come up with so many play on words.
I don’t think it’s possible for all that to survive translation, no matter how hard one tries.
Explaining each and every one of them would probably take a lot of effort…
>Fave Akaiito couples: Yumei x Kei (it’s on the side banner) and Kei x Sakuya.
>I love the way Yumei pronounces Kei-chan.
Kei x Sakuya is my next favourite. And yes, I absolutely love the way Yumei calls Kei-chan.
Ahhhh. Minaguchi Yuko <3. I’d melt every time she calls out to Kei.
As for the dakimakura, the “safe” side isn’t exactly safe either. What with the pantsu and the unfastened shirt
(and that *oh-so-moe!* face *nosebleed*) But, yes. Much safer than the other side.
It’s packaged with the “unsafe” side up though. *nervous laughter*
P.S. As a Yumei x Kei fanatic, I insis- *cough* request that you do not change the banner (to anything non-YumeixKei). Ever.
*fans the Touhou fumes from the blog* too-much-touhou!
(No offense to the Touhou fans. I like Touhou too but not as much as AkaiIto/Aoishiro :p)
Nice to hear you are not eliminating the possibility of a potential Katahane translation. I’d say that was the Yuri game I personally heard the most praise, so I’d love to see it translated one day.
Anyway, about Amaranto.
Apparently, I was told it uses Nscripter engine which can be easily decrypted even with older tools. If you have it installed, try that for extracting the script http://loliserv.org/~elixir/nagato/nscript.exe.
http://nscripter.insani.org/sdk.html
NSAOUT can extract the CGs/bgm etc for you. (There’s also a program called NSDEC in the link above which too could extract the script for you, but a bit slower.)
For the translation engineering part: http://onscripter.denpa.mobi/ There you can find the nscripter docs + updated onscripter builds.
If you need any assistance there are a few helpful people on #tlwiki at Rizon on IRC who could help you with that.
Regards, and good luck!
donation eh? hm…I’ll think about it…
I know you are willing to spend some money to buy illust books or doujins, but i doubt for the others…>ww< gotta agree about the puns inside akaiito, there are just a lot of them (reading the translation over and over~)
eeeeh?? you mean Fumotogawa-sensei writes all of the lyrics also? wow, simply amazing amazing…XD
why…
anyway, resend it again…
@shijima
shijima-san, do you think 16 pages is enough? or shoud we make more pages? and do you have any refference site for japan culture or anything?
@YumeixKei
the last part of the comments are for you <__<; oh, how long the package come?
uuh, i want Kei-san too…I’m a girl also, but Kei-san is too moe for her own good XD
Ah, yes, I guess it takes some legwork to understanding of all of Aoishiro.
I like your pro-active attitude towards learning. =)
I had to look up quite a bit too.
@YumeixKei
Thanks for letting me know about who wrote the lyrics.
That makes sense.
@p4s
Nah, but thanks for the support.
@izmosmolnar
Thank you for the links.
I’ll check them out some time. It’s good to know that Amarento should be able to be decrypted.
@Me
Install Japanese language support.
@hinagi
The number of pages looks good.
The ones I had ranged from 12 - 24 pages long.
Some were all color, others were black and white except for the cover and some were half and half.
Most of them had 2 page spreads.
For general and travel info, I look at: http://japan-guide.com/
For kendo, you can look at: http://www.kendo-world.com/forum/archive/index.php
Let me know if you need any specific topics.
so it would be like..
C:\Aoishiro
anyway,after finished the grand ending now I really wanted the drama cd…should looking for a alive torrent.
so, they always have even pages…guess 16 are enough -__-;
2 page spreads? what do you mean by that?
hmmm…specific topic…how about japan’s legend or myth, do you have one? i try to find types of Youkai, but none is taking my interest…
anyway, thanks for the links XD
I never thought you already discussing our little project here…you’re not suppose to y’know,not yet anyway…..since we’re far from ready yet…but the bean has been spilled, I guess there’s no helping it now..^^;
@shijima..
so…yeah..now you’ve heard of it,basically we’re doing a Akai/Aoi fanbook,which originally will consist of 10 CG 2 short stories, and 1 pages 4 koma/misc…
but I guess the format will change acordingly though..
and I still insist to hinagi-san that we will share it for free,in JPEG downloadable form(in mediafire most likely),and I actually thinking to ask for your blog to host it(if you don’t mind of course..)or at least,promote our work,
so yeah,wish us luck,if things went smoothly,it should be done by the end of this year..
sory *sob*…i kinda confused with many things so i need people’s opinions Dx very sory k-nashi-san…
Uhm? Wah, so you want it to get free? Ummm…i think we should give shijima-san input a thought or two about donation thing. I know it sounds selfish…but still >w<…if you think it’s better then i don’t have anything to object :3
in my case i renamed the folder to “Ao” worked perfectly after.
Thank you for answerng the question.
Let me know if you can’t find a torrent.
I can upload the drama cd. I still haven’t listened to it either. :p
There’s also a special cd that came with the game.
I should try listening to that one too. :p
@hinagi
A two-page spread is where the image takes up 2 pages like this:
http://www.solelo.com/temp/mariali-two-page-spread-resize.jpg
(If anyone wants to glue these two images together, I’ll provide the full size image).
For youkai, Obakemono Project is a good place to start.
For legends, I’m not so sure of a good link. I’ve mostly been using Wikipedia, like for the legend about Kusanagi no Tsurugi
@K-Nashi
Wowow. That’s impressive. I would want to say submit it to Winter Comiket, but I think the deadline is already passed?
The Akaiito/Aoishiro section needs more circles. =)
Of course, I can host it here.
@Sphio
Thanks for the specifics on the problem.
the special drama cd…ah it’s the one with yasumi and momoko…the manga you translated..waltz or something?
since Momoko looks cute and not as annoying as in the actual game, I really like her in that manga/drama cd :p
Drama CD:

Ah, the CD that came with the PC game was just some wallpapers and voices.
I still haven’t looked at the other CDs that came with the PS2 game.
Will do so at some time.
I don’t mind the icon since I’m a tsundere fan after all.
