She is a beautiful woman who looks to be in her mid-twenties who
has a style that’s not Japanese. Her origins are unknown. She was a
good friend of Kei’s mother so she sort of looks after Kei..
Because she’s a frank and sociable elder sister, one side of her
acts like an old man.
She likes finger foods that go with sake and other salty foods.
She’s not on good terms with Uduki.
Character Interview with Sanada Asami
Q: What’s your impression of Asama Sakuya?
A: I’m envious of her proportions (smile).
Q: What’s your impression of voicing Asama Sakuya?
A: Though she’s an adult, she’s had a past, and is a character
with a lot of cute points.
Q: What was the hardest thing about voicing Asama Sakuya?
A: That she’s an “adult”. But she’s not just an adult, she’s also
young, so that’s cute. Also since she’s lived a long time and had
those heavy experiences…that part was a little difficult.
Q: What phrase did you like?
A: I like them all. I like that old-style speech. It conjures an
image of an oba-san in a tenement district.
Q: What should people pay attention to?
A: She’s not just some carefree character. There’s a
back story to Sakuya (probably).
Q: A message to your fans, please.
A: Please play it many many times and listen to all the lines!

Fashion
- Casual Clothes - She wears low-rise jeans, a mini-camisole, and a jacket. Maybe it’s because of her job as a reporter and photographer but it gives a rough feeling and has a large degree of exposure.
- Yukata - A yukata from Sakaki Ryokan. It’s a normal yukata but because Sakuya has good style, it looks sexy.
Sakuya comforts a young Kei when her grandmother dies and then an older Kei after her mother dies.
When Kei falls off a cliff after running away from KEI, Sakuya leaps off and grabs her in the nick of time.
A young Sakuya clings to the princess, begging her not to go.
Kei is surprised to see Sakuya is staying at the same ryokan and using the bath in the middle of the day.
Kei’s been wounded, but Sakuya is here to save the day.
Saliva is a disinfectant, isn’t it? Just ask Nami, right Syouko?
In an alternate good ending, Sakuya forces Kei to drink her blood when Kei is on the brink of death, turning Kei into an oni. Together, they become oni hunting other oni and chasing down Nushi.
In the best ending, Sakuya moves in with Kei and they start a life together.
