K-Nashi and Hinagi - Aoishiro and Akaiito Collection

shijima August 15th, 2010

Download

The awesome duo of K-Nashi and Hinagi have created their very own Aoishiro and Akaiito doujin collection.
Considering the lack of Aoishiro and Akaiito doujin in general, this is a great accomplishment!
Please check it out and show your support. :D

Akaiito Song Lyrics - Itsuka no hikari

shijima November 12th, 2009

Download
Translation: Here or Animelyrics (spacing got a bit messed up)

「いつかのひかり」
歌:霜月はるか
作詞:麗川智之
作曲/編曲:
MANYO (Little Wing)

Itsuka no hikari (The light of someday)
Sung by: Shimotsuki Haruka
Lyrics: Fumotogawa Tomoyuki
Music: MANYO (Little Wing)

The lyrics in kanji and are available at the Official Page

This song was originally a background track for the game and often appeared with scenes of Yumei.
I think the music is quite touching and the lyrics are very suitable. It’s my favorite track in the game.
The game was released in 2004. In 2007, about 3 years after the game was out, as a memorial, this CD was released and contained vocal versions of two pieces of background music (Itsuka no hikari and Utakata).
It also came with instrumental versions of the the OP and ED.

Aoishiro PC Visual Novel Translation Complete!

shijima September 18th, 2009

Main Page

Well, this post is going to be rather long, and some of it is mostly as a reminder to myself.
Download links are located at the page above so feel free to just skip my babbling. =)

First, let me give thanks to Nik for his translation tools and help in editing images.
And also to TheShinySword for proofreading.
Without them, this work would never have been completed.

As you can tell from the current banner, Aoishiro is the one of the main reasons I started translating yuri material, so I think it will remain special to me.
Though I still had some open questions after the game.

After you finish the Grand Route, you’ll get access to the Onikiri no Oni minigame.
The endings are quite funny so here’s the translation.
If you need help on the game, see the FAQ.

It’s been quite a long journey so let me just highlight some milestones:

  • February 02, 2008 - Finished Ch.1 of the Web Novel
  • May 4, 2008 - Finished Aoishiro Vampire Scene Demo Game
  • May 12, 2008 - Finished final chapter of Web Novel
  • July 17, 2008 - Finished Aoishiro Original Demo for PC.
  • January 9, 2009 - Started translation of Aoishiro PC.
  • September 18, 2009 - Finished translation of Aoishiro PC.

I know some wondered if this would ever be completed.
In truth, I myself underestimated the amount of work required. :p

Here’s are some approximate stats for the script.
The lines include duplicate lines for each ending.

  • Total Number of lines: 32751
  • Number of endings: 56
  • Lines in Yasumi’s Route: 11231
  • Lines in Nami’s Route: 5381
  • Lines in Migiwa’s Route: 5432
  • Lines in Kaya’s Route: 4268
  • Lines in Kohaku’s Route: 3477
  • Lines in Grand Route: 2454
  • Lines in Gaiden: 502
  • Average lines translated per day: 133

I was unable to capture all the subtle nuisances about the game, so the translation is far from complete.
There’s still many things I myself don’t fully comprehend.
But I believe, it should at least give an accurate feel for the game.

aoishiro doujin - illustration collection

shijima April 10th, 2009

Download

Another doujinshi by Miyageya. 18 pages.
Contains heavy spoilers for most of the best endings of the characters so avoid if you don’t want to know!
I got spoiled myself (but the drawings were nice).

Also has another recommended song, Disc2 - Track 3
You can probably tell that this is used during some of the bad endings.

aoishiro pc visual novel - yasumi’s route complete

Yasumi’s Route Complete!

Latest SCRIPT.AFS
All 14 endings done.
See the FAQ to see how to reach all the endings.

Please don’t ask about the endings for other routes since I haven’t seen them myself.
Thanks to Trinder for allowing the FAQ to be translated.

Note that after you reach a happy end, you unlock character poses for that person in the Album.
In that section click on キャラ・音楽 and then pick the top selection which shouldn’t be crossed out anymore.
You might need multiple happy ends for pair poses though.

Will now work on Nami’s Route Part 1 - until the Seal on the route.

Ending 9 is more about Kohaku and Yasuhime-sama. It was pretty interesting.
Ending 12 is the Web Novel ending.
Though Ending 13 was a bad ending, I rather liked it.
Ending 10 is the hardest to get. Here’s a pic someone drew of the ending: Spoiler pic
The caption says “That’s what you get for taking your time.”

Yasumi turned out to be awesome. Now Momoko just needs somebody. :p
Like Syouko said, she likes girls who try their hardest and Yasumi surely did that.

Not much humor in Day 5 of course, though Momoko had some complaints during Day 4.

Akaiito Guidebook

shijima February 21st, 2009

Download

Official Guidebook for the 2004 PS2 game Akaiito by Success, published by JIVE.
Like all JIVE guidebooks, it has very nice illustrations.
Around two thirds of the book is in color while the rest is in black and white.
Sorry, the pages in the first part are a little warped since I didn’t press down hard enough.

The first section is about the story and the world of Akaiito.

The second section an illustration guide and sketches.
The illustration guide is awesome, it includes pictures that were on the limited edition telecards that you could only get from pre-ordering the game at certain locations. Actually, some of them are more racier than anything you’d see in the game. XD

The third section is an explanation about the setting and the dictionary of terms.
This section also includes route information for getting the best ending for each character and a listing of all the chapter titles.
There are also articles explaining some of the history and mythology that is used in the game.

I did like the Combat Ratings Section:

Number 1: Sakuya (Ragou) - Eg. Super Saiyan Sakuya (SSS)
In the fight against a materialized Nushi, the only one who can win is Sakuyu, who was obtained the power of Ragou (a mutable, destructive power that depends on the movement of the stars).
There’s no mistake that she’s the strongest.

Number 3: Tsuduru (with Obana)
The blood of Obana and Kei caused Tsuduru to awaken her powers and she demonstrates that she has the power to hold off Uduki.

Number 6: Uduki (After Comprehending Special Move) - Eg. Ultimate Uduki
Even though she understands how to use the special move, it doesn’t change her battle prowess.
What makes her strong is her trust in Kei.

Number 11: Yumei
As a spirit, she’s strong but her weak point is that she loses her powers if she’s away from the sacred tree.

Is she only able to be protected by others?
The weakest character is the main character Kei…

Kei posseses the Nie no Chi, but she’s a complete novice to fighting.
It seems that Tsuduru has even more survival instinct than her.
She doesn’t have a lot of power, but she can receive strength from those that protect her.

Full Rankings

  1. Sakuya (Ragou)
  2. Nushi
  3. Tsudura (with Obana)
  4. Yumei (after drinking blood)
  5. KEI (possessed by Nushi)
  6. Uduki (After Comprehending Special Move)
  7. KEI
  8. Uduki
  9. Sakuya (Mizuki)
  10. Yumei
  11. Nozomi / Mikage
  12. Sakuya
  13. Obana
  14. Tsudura
  15. Kei
