Pokemon doujin - Nekoyoubi (Space Farm)

winterbraid February 14th, 2010

Download: Translated, Raw

Happy Valentine Day to everyone!

And apologies to anyone who feels offended by the fact I’m promoting a commercial holiday. Anyways, ask and ye shall receive… Huge thanks to Yamibo for the raws and to Anonymous for the info. (I’m not really familiar with that Yamibo site, so if you are and you notice something interesting there, please don’t hesitate to post it.)

This little doujin is apparently set after Platinum’s storyline, so having played the game might help to understand it… though there isn’t really that much to understand - and as some sane person on /u/ has noted, usually it’s easy enough to tell who likes who in a doujin even if you don’t know the characters! Short, but still cute and to the point… looking forward to that bigger book the author promised in the afterword. ^-^

Aoishiro Visual Guidebook (アオイシロ ビジュアル・ガイドブック)
by JIVE
138 pages.

Guidebook for the PS2 version of Aoishiro.
It’s about a third thicker than the Akaiito one and a third of it is in full color.
It also comes with a two-sided pull-out poster.
I’m a little disappointed that the gallery section didn’t contain pictures of the special telephone cards that came with pre-ordering the game at different locations.
The Akaiito one had those.
Otherwise, it’s an excellent guidebook with a wealth of material and definitely a pleasure to look through even if you don’t read the articles (I haven’t yet).
I especially like the rough drawings section where there are conceptual designs for each of the characters.

If anyone wants to stitch together the foldout poster, here’s the raw scans.
I’d appreciate a link back to the fixed version of course. =)

Aoishiro PC Visual Novel Translation Complete!

shijima September 18th, 2009

Main Page

Well, this post is going to be rather long, and some of it is mostly as a reminder to myself.
Download links are located at the page above so feel free to just skip my babbling. =)

First, let me give thanks to Nik for his translation tools and help in editing images.
And also to TheShinySword for proofreading.
Without them, this work would never have been completed.

As you can tell from the current banner, Aoishiro is the one of the main reasons I started translating yuri material, so I think it will remain special to me.
Though I still had some open questions after the game.

After you finish the Grand Route, you’ll get access to the Onikiri no Oni minigame.
The endings are quite funny so here’s the translation.
If you need help on the game, see the FAQ.

It’s been quite a long journey so let me just highlight some milestones:

  • February 02, 2008 - Finished Ch.1 of the Web Novel
  • May 4, 2008 - Finished Aoishiro Vampire Scene Demo Game
  • May 12, 2008 - Finished final chapter of Web Novel
  • July 17, 2008 - Finished Aoishiro Original Demo for PC.
  • January 9, 2009 - Started translation of Aoishiro PC.
  • September 18, 2009 - Finished translation of Aoishiro PC.

I know some wondered if this would ever be completed.
In truth, I myself underestimated the amount of work required. :p

Here’s are some approximate stats for the script.
The lines include duplicate lines for each ending.

  • Total Number of lines: 32751
  • Number of endings: 56
  • Lines in Yasumi’s Route: 11231
  • Lines in Nami’s Route: 5381
  • Lines in Migiwa’s Route: 5432
  • Lines in Kaya’s Route: 4268
  • Lines in Kohaku’s Route: 3477
  • Lines in Grand Route: 2454
  • Lines in Gaiden: 502
  • Average lines translated per day: 133

I was unable to capture all the subtle nuisances about the game, so the translation is far from complete.
There’s still many things I myself don’t fully comprehend.
But I believe, it should at least give an accurate feel for the game.

aoishiro pc visual novel - kaya, kohaku route complete

Kaya and Kohaku’s Route Complete!

For tracking purposes.
A big thank you to TheShinySword for proofreading Migiwa part of Nami’s route (updated it) and for currently working on Kaya and Kohaku’s Route.

I was planning on just finishing it off before releasing anything else,
but since a couple people (and I really do mean 2 people :D ) pinged me about it, I’ll post an update.
I have completed all the endings, but I haven’t updated much of the FAQ yet.

However, I highly recommend waiting until everything is complete.
It should needs to be done by October since there are other tasks I need to focus on.

Latest SCRIPT.AFS

Kaya’s route was mostly depressing (as expected).
I quite liked one of the bad endings, but then again, I’m quite morbid at times…
Kaya’s happy ending was also quite nice. Poor Syouko…

Kohaku’s route was awesome.
She’s arrogant, but has the skills to back it up.
Her interaction with Syouko = Win++!
(I still feel like slamming my head into the wall as she quotes the Heian Monogatari though).

Slight event scene spoilers ahead (no CG spoilers though).

Migiwa’s Route Complete!

For tracking purposes.
A big thank you to TheShinySword for proofreading Yasumi’s route (updated it) and for currently working on Migiwa’s Route. I feel like putting my head through the wall at some of the mistakes I made. -__-

I highly recommend waiting until everything is complete but I have updated the script if anyone is interested in a TLCheck (please!) or Proofreading.

Latest SCRIPT.AFS
7 out of 8 endings done. Skipped the one which requires you to go through Kohaku’s route.
See the FAQ to see how to reach all the endings.

Also fixed the crash on Day 3 of Kaya’s Route.
Apparently those files were special since the choices are embedded into the script unlike other files where the choices are separated into root files.
Had to hex edit those by hand so there are space limitations but at least it doesn’t crash.

I actually didn’t care much for Migiwa’s endings but her dialogue is hilarious.
Plus ninjas (ninja-like onikiri) are cool in general.
I’m going to slam my head into the desk if she goes over any more kanji meanings and etymology though.

otome crisis guidebook

shijima May 22nd, 2009

Download

Official Guidebook by Jive for Otome Crisis, a yuri fighting game for PC.

I haven’t played through it, but judging from the pictures, if you like ecchi, it’s got something for everyone.
Since the main character Hiro travels to different worlds I think, that’s how all the variety got packed in.
It’s certainly not hardcore but I guess I wouldn’t call it fluffy either.

In no particular order, I’ve seen loli, rabbit ears, light bondage, school girls, fantasy girls, ninjas (yay!), wrestlers, even mother-con??? 0__0
