Himegami Vol.5 (ヒメガミ)

The final volume. Everything gets resolved.
I thought the ending was a bit abrupt, but at almost 200 pages,
I don’t think the author had much leeway to fit any more in. =)

Now, since this is the last volume, let’s have a comparison of the world of Hakodate
(箱館) in the manga,
and current Hakodate
(函館).
As you’ll notice, even the spelling of the place changed.
I sort of like the ancient spelling better. :p

I didn’t get a chance to visit Hokkaido last time.
There’s the Butterfly Caberet where the Madam and her troupe of girls work and stay.
It sort of reminds me of this old public hall in Hakodate

Hokkaido is known for its lavender fields in summer.
I heard Holland’s sunflowers are quite nice too.
And of course the winter landscape is nice.
I think most of Himegami takes place during that season.
