No, the title of chapter 08 didn’t refer to Kuki and Mamiya, much to my dismay; and no, unfortunately it didn’t refer to Kuki and Nina either. In fact, not only does this chapter not have any yuri, it also contains women who are - yuck! - sexually attracted to men! If you think you can’t get over it, well… it doesn’t contribute much to the plot (what plot?!) anyway - apart from being about Obama, who is quickly growing to be one of my favourite characters. ^-^ That said, although it is a bit nasty, I think you might want to read it anyway, as it’s also quite funny… I think. ^-^;
Also, I couldn’t sympathise more with Obama’s sleeping issues… night shifts are what brings you people the scanlations, y’ know. ^-^;

This took quite a while due to sleepiness and several other distractions (of which not all were entirely fruitless, as you might see soon), but finally it is here: the highly-expected(?) story of Mamiya and Cookie’s first encounter! In fact, I think it’s a rather sweet chapter, especially after all this fighting in the couple previous ones; so go read it now. ^-^
In other news:
This is hardly news, but some of you (who?) might know that GIMP 2.6.6 has made it into the Testing suite of Debian a while ago; as I noticed - having switched from the old 2.4 after a months’ worth of system upgrades on one night ^-^; - there are many changes for the better (i.e. justifying text finally works), as well as some that are not so good (for example, path to selection is miserably slow sometimes; also, the old splash screen was much better). Perhaps I should finally switch to Unstable altogether, so that I can get all the updates faster… oh well. ^-^;

As a compensation for the hideously long hiatus on my side, and seeing that Dynasty had a “doubles week” recently (and they also did “閉じててね心”, one of my favourite Wildrose stories! ^-^), here’s not one, but two chapters of Kurogane Pukapuka Tai for you. ^-^
If you take a look at the Contents page in ch. 01, you’ll see that with this we pass the equator of the story; what I like to call “The Great Battle of Kuki” commences. Depending on my current state of mind, this part looks either insanely overdone or utterly cool to me; but it does have a lot of female badassery and also girls with guns… so the overall rating has to be on the plus side, I guess. ^-^;
Hmm… I wonder what made Mamiya so angry? :3

Finally, an actual yuri couple!
…Well, maybe not an entirely functional one, but still. ‘Unebi’ sure could have delayed their attack a couple more panels… ^-^; Other than that: more specs, more action, more girls being cool. ^-^
The ‘Umi Yukaba’ mentioned on the first page is a Japanese song popular at the time of WW2; see TL notes and wiki. (Thanks to Shijima for letting me know!) Nothing special in my opinion; but anyway, you can get it from here for educational purposes.
(UPDATE: Okay, okay, consider that an early April Fools… here is the real one.) ^-^;
In other news: It seems that Mamiya’s imagination is still as vivid as ever. ^-^

Do you still remember Chibikuru-chan from the fashion show? If not, she appeared on stage before Mamiya and Cookie’s… performance - so guess I can’t really blame you if you don’t. ^-^;
Well, this chapter is about Kurushima the seaplane pilot, and her soeur… uh, I mean partner, Nojima. Action ahead, and also fluffiness: the best combo in my opinion. (Aside from action plus sex, of course. lol) In fact, this is one of my favourite chapters. Poor Mamiya, though… ^-^;
By the way, anyone else thinks Nojima is super hot? ^-^*
